Here is the exact wording:
"In the orchestra-stalls, the drugget covering them looked like an angry sea, whose bluey-grey waves had been suddenly rendered stationary by a secret order from the storm PHANTOM, whose name, as we know, is Adamastor."
Not really sure what he meant, though.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8388919069361390275.post-37481400748236078912008-08-12T04:11:00.000-07:002008-08-12T04:11:00.000-07:00I know this is a very large post, but one thing ke...I know this is a very large post, but one thing keeps sticking out in my mind. I've read this post before (before I baught Leroux's Novel) and just now. I have recently gotton to chapter 19 in the novel and find it quite interesting, but theres something in the first few chapters that too stuck out in my mind.

I'm not positive what chapter it is, but I think its "The Enchanted Violin". as I recall, it was in the churchyard and Leroux what discribing the weather. Now, I can't tell you exactly what he said word for word, but he said something about the storm Phantom, and that is the term he ACTUALLY used for it.

As soon as I read that in the book, this post came to mind and I thought "wait, didnt she say that he only uses the word phantom twice?". This isnt anything major, but I thought it rather funny that although I read this, probably a month before, it was still in my mind when I got the book!

Also, I LOVE how you can disect and analyze the smallest meanings from The Phantom Of The Opera and be able to write like, 8 paragraphs on it! You opened my eyes to some things from the play that I thought nothing of before I read this blog!

KEEP POSTING =DAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
